The grammatical function of the NP affects the acceptability of the structure. It is accepted most frequently when it appears in the indirect object position. The number of speakers accepting this structure decreases in the order indirect object ＞ oblique (theme) object ＞ goal ＞ oblique subject. The younger generation tends not to use this structure.
