Compared Japan with Korea, the curriculum of “physical education” in Korea seems to become unenforced and it has been suggested a need for enriching the curriculum. In this paper, I focused on “physical expression” of the preschool curriculum which is called “expression” in japan and “art experience” in Korea. As a result, both curriculum seem to be designed with similar aims, such as to enhance ability to express oneself freely by fully engaging with the environment around children themselves. The Korean curriculum illustrated the details age by age from three to five-years-old children and showed some examples of activities that teachers should carry out.
